Understanding and Knlowledge of "An Audience"
When it comes to understanding audiences, the artist has to know what and who they are looking at when designing or creating something, which may not interest certain types of ages or people. For example if an illustrator was designing for a car magazine they would have to look into who they are designing for which would most likely be guys aged 13-40, this would give them an insight into what this certain type of audience will want to see and what types of images they would and wouldn't enjoy and like the look of.
By knowing your audience as an artist, it can enhance the focus of the piece of art they are designing and increase the communication with this audience type, which will lead to the artist hitting the right spot when it comes to what that type of person would want, bringing them back and giving the artist more work and more coverage.
This would also increase the likeability of the artist and they could try focusing and getting to know other audiences to appeal to more types of people.
The Notion Of Inspiration
For an artist inspiration comes from the need to inquire and the want to learn more , this inspiration will lead them to creating better art and more art, as they will be able to look back at past work and research to find that something they need or have used before for future works. Also by experimenting the artist will go through ideas that may or may not work, which will eventually create a full proof idea to finalise. Being observant will increase the opportunity of coming across ideas which would not have arisen without going out and searching while recording your steps along the way both good and bad because all ideas even the least favourite can help. New artist will also learn new things and find out interesting facts about their subject which they didn’t already know, and add to their knowledge about their chosen field.
